Other countries with truely enormous National debts are not a great bench mark
Also our figures do not take into account public service pension liabilities and PFIs - these are absolutely enormous.

i honestly wouldn't mind being raped of 3k a month
if i was happy with what they spent it on though. they should totally implement my idea of being able to allocate where you want your taxes to go.... the NHS would be flooded with cash, as would schools and transport. meanwhile, who would be allocating funds to "pay rises for MPs" or "lesbian quangos to talk about the effects of neck slinging on ducks and its far reaching consequences for eastern european migrants"?
