oh!They looked nothing like crumpets, the holes didn't really form but we ate a few at lunch and the other people at work said they were good. Including my boss who will say if things are shit.
They were a MASSIVE amount of effort though. One sec I'll find the recipe I used.

hmmm, massive amounts of effort don't sound goodI tend not to make bread and stuff often because of that. I got a bit put off after spending 4 days making turkish bread. It was good, but not good enough.

I used all plain flour though and added water at the end, so you may want to up that to 175m of warm water.
