I used to see girls swimming in them when I went during lunchtimes at my previous job. They're not really designed for it, as when the swimmer pushed off from the end, the force of water would stretch the top and sometimes you would see free tit.

I have an old pair of swimming shorts
where the lining has stretched beyond redemption. I became aware one day that my bits were no longer contained within, but floating freely, so anyone swimming behind me would have got a good look.
