It's dead.
:(

Such a shame.

Boo.

(, Fri 18 Feb 2011, 23:22, Reply)
I'm still here.

(, Fri 18 Feb 2011, 23:38, Reply)
I've just got in
Had a couple of chocolates and poured myself a glass of wine.
(, Fri 18 Feb 2011, 23:43, Reply)
City lost this evening Lighty.
I'm going to drink even more than I'd originally planned.

You off the the Wolves match on Sunday?
(, Fri 18 Feb 2011, 23:44, Reply)
I am yes
Got my ticket from the original match.

EDIT: Now I'm wondering if I was supposed to rebook or contact them or something. Shit. I'll phone up tomorrow.
(, Fri 18 Feb 2011, 23:49, Reply)
Can't you just check the website?

(, Fri 18 Feb 2011, 23:51, Reply)
I have
it says nothing (now) about people with tickets from the original date, just talks about if you want to buy them now.

I'm sure it said at the time of the postponement that they'd be valid for the re-arranged fixture but I don't know if in the meantime I've missed a "contact the club to receive your replacement ticket with the new date on" announcement.

*frets*

Just turn up.
You'll be fine.

Worse case, you pick up a spare in the pub.
(, Sat 19 Feb 2011, 0:01, Reply)
Not the sort of game to be casual about
I've heard several people say they're not getting the train as the normally would because there might be trouble.

Fortunately I catch the train in the opposite direction so I should be alright - but I won't be wearing my shirt.

We had Leeds at home last weekend
And the usual rumours of 'aways fans in the home sections' that are generally rubbish turned out to be true.

There were a number of ejections and unfortunately a bit of trouble as a result of that.

Further proof that the club needs a new stadium so they accommodate those who want to watch the game in a safe environment.
(, Sat 19 Feb 2011, 0:12, Reply)
I sort of am
I'm still making stuff for tomorrow. My flat smells yummy.
How's your evening been Jeff?
(, Fri 18 Feb 2011, 23:44, Reply)
Shit berk.
My favourite (well, only) football team lost.

On the plus side, I've got cider.

What treats have you made for your bash buddies?
(, Fri 18 Feb 2011, 23:45, Reply)
Well if you will support a silly team in a silly sport...
I've made chicken liver and wild mushroom paté and a bakewell tart.
(, Fri 18 Feb 2011, 23:49, Reply)
I support my local team in a silly sport!
There is a big difference.

Can you post photos of both?

EDIT: Also, the strap on my watch broke this evening as well, that has fucked me off.
(, Fri 18 Feb 2011, 23:52, Reply)
OM NOM NOM
This just did my head in: www.youtube.com/watch?v=0v2xnl6LwJE&feature=player_embedded
(, Fri 18 Feb 2011, 23:54, Reply)
I'd google how they do that, I'm assuming it is smoke and mirrors, but I'm too impressed by it to want to check.

(, Fri 18 Feb 2011, 23:57, Reply)
There's a diagram somewhere explaining it
something about two models and video of one superimposed on the other. *shrug*

I like it.
(, Sat 19 Feb 2011, 0:09, Reply)
Are you expecting 3 points on Sunday?
And are you happy with the change in management?
(, Sat 19 Feb 2011, 0:13, Reply)
I am expecting a cagey affair between two teams terrified of losing
but think we might edge it.

Regarding the manager, I've stopped thinking "why sack Di Matteo? We haven't been in the drop zone since the first week of the season, we've never managed that before" and started thinking "lost 13 out of 18 games, no sign of the defence improving, time for a change". And if you're going to change it, might as well go for Manager of the Year, eh?
(, Sat 19 Feb 2011, 0:21, Reply)
That makes some sense.
But I can't help but think he had you playing good stuff.
(, Sat 19 Feb 2011, 0:43, Reply)
midfield and attack maybe
but our defence got worse as the season went on.
(, Sat 19 Feb 2011, 0:49, Reply)
Gah, that has geniunely made my brain hurt.
impressive though.
(, Sat 19 Feb 2011, 0:14, Reply)
It's really is very clever isn't it?

(, Sat 19 Feb 2011, 0:16, Reply)
It's just an optical illusion
and I know that, but my brain is still going aagh, aaaagh, stop breaking the laws of physics, it's sore!
(, Sat 19 Feb 2011, 0:17, Reply)
I have the same brain pain.
What time are you off on your travels tomorrow?
(, Sat 19 Feb 2011, 0:19, Reply)
Erm about midday-ish?
I said I'd pick Labs up around 1pm and get to Oxford for about 2pm.
(, Sat 19 Feb 2011, 0:21, Reply)
exciting exciting!
i wanna be less tired and go now!
(, Sat 19 Feb 2011, 0:22, Reply)
I really need to go to bed soon
but the cake doesn't come out for another 45 min or so.
(, Sat 19 Feb 2011, 0:23, Reply)
I can keep you company for 45 minutes.
I'm all alert and stuff. :(

Any further communications with Hot Bloke from Christmas?
(, Sat 19 Feb 2011, 0:26, Reply)
Ahahahahahaha
No, of course fucking not. That tosser.
(, Sat 19 Feb 2011, 0:27, Reply)
But you've got Tennis Coach Hot Bloke (TCHB) to woo now!
So all isn't lost.

Have you made a plan for getting to 3rd base(line) with him?
(, Sat 19 Feb 2011, 0:29, Reply)
Pffft.
it's all window shopping, you realise, I'm never going to do anything about it. Besides, I could never encourage him to be so unprofessional as to sleep with his students. *virtuous*
(, Sat 19 Feb 2011, 0:31, Reply)
You want to make a racket with him
(I'm not sure if that is supposed to be racket with a 'q' or not?)
(, Sat 19 Feb 2011, 0:34, Reply)
Racquet, yes
I'm not punning Jeff, it's too late and my brain has gone manky, it's been a long week.
Also, I'm really not going to do anything other than flirt and windowshop with cute tennis coach. He probably likes slim trendy blonde girls.
(, Sat 19 Feb 2011, 0:41, Reply)
So what is your plan for love then?

(, Sat 19 Feb 2011, 0:42, Reply)
There is no plan as such
the closest to a plan that I have is 'wait and see'.
(, Sat 19 Feb 2011, 0:45, Reply)
The best of all the plans is to wait and see how things pan out.
You've chosen wisely youngster.
(, Sat 19 Feb 2011, 0:48, Reply)
Pffft, you'll be calling me grasshopper next
I'm no youngster, Jeff-san.
(, Sat 19 Feb 2011, 0:52, Reply)
Jedi you not.

(, Sat 19 Feb 2011, 0:54, Reply)
You *will* reply at the bottom...

I meant to go to sleep too
but then I ended up in an exchange of messages with that guy I'm not meeting
(, Sat 19 Feb 2011, 0:26, Reply)
And are you still not meeting him?

(, Sat 19 Feb 2011, 0:27, Reply)
yes
we won't be in the same place at the same time
(, Sat 19 Feb 2011, 0:30, Reply)
Oh man, you might totally be in there. Or not.
This could just run and run, or walk and fade!

What are your feelings about the situation?
(, Sat 19 Feb 2011, 0:32, Reply)
I have no idea
I am enjoying conversing with him, but he lives bloody miles away. Plus, he could be a dick in real life for all I know
(, Sat 19 Feb 2011, 0:34, Reply)
But he might not be a dick in real life.
He might be alright.

Is he also a LARPer?
(, Sat 19 Feb 2011, 0:37, Reply)
no, but I think he does warhammer
this is never a good sign
(, Sat 19 Feb 2011, 0:39, Reply)
What is warhammer?

(, Sat 19 Feb 2011, 0:42, Reply)
you've seen those games workshop
places full of stinky nerds? It's the game they do there
(, Sat 19 Feb 2011, 0:43, Reply)
Sounds bent.

(, Sat 19 Feb 2011, 0:48, Reply)
It is.
The models are quite cool, and I like painting things, but when you get in to playing the game and stuff that's way too geeky and dull.
(, Sat 19 Feb 2011, 0:49, Reply)
Tiny little painted models
of orcs and elves and shit.
(, Sat 19 Feb 2011, 0:44, Reply)
Sounds fucking bent.
See you both on the left?
(, Sat 19 Feb 2011, 0:48, Reply)
Well...that's still good, isn't it?

(, Sat 19 Feb 2011, 0:27, Reply)
