OK, here's me being all "look at me!"
I have this 'ere website (oh wait, I took it down) and it doesn't show my work very well. I need to add more pictures, more projects and somehow a 1500 word short story

Some of you guys are web design people, right? Anyone got any advice?(other than learn to take photos better)

Erm yes, it doesn't have your email address on it but it does have your real name in the address.

Looks alright to be honest, just needs more content and info up there I think.

yeah
but the design is crap, it's from a free site as I don't know how to do anything but cack handed html. I reckon if I had an idea what it should look like I could try and teach myself to something proper

also, putting a 1500 word story on there seems to be a nightmare. Looks shit however I do it

It's Flash based so I can't see it on my iPhone

that's the other problem

Oddly enough, someone else showed me her Wix site and wanted me to make her a good one.
I was supprised at how popular that site is, it's shit, it's really really a shit system on so many levels.

You'd be better off making an album in Flickr and writing the thing in the description.

Or if there are no real deadlines, I can help =)

no deadlines
I just thought I might use half term to make a decent site. My brother reckons using Joomla. Then I can handle all the updating new content stuff, since I have a habit of not finishing projects, this should make me do so more often.

I prefer Wordpress to Joomla, but they're both good.
Wordpress is what coll3ctive is based on, it's sooooo easy to use, and www.wordpress.com will handle the hosting and all that too (although there are restrictions in there, but nothing major).

his theory is that joomla is less time based
you know, less like a blog - that a fair assessment?
