Some of us have to go home and look after an ill coeliac vegtarian with a keen sense of smell. The chances of me cooking up a slab of dead animal are phenomenally slim tonight

cooked as rare as possible with chips, peppercorn sauce and some form of vegetable decoration.
Edit: the decoration will be discarded with an accompanying flick of the Vs at Ethiopia.

many mushrooms and garlic pappardelle with shaved parmesan
stilton on walnut bread
other (somewhat cruel) highlights on the menu were venison cheek, black-faced baby lamb, lobster risotto, pumpkin and goats cheese ravioli, wild cod with champagne and mushroom fricassee, roast suckling pig, hot chocolate fondant with orange ice cream, belgian chocolate and hazelnut tart, giant citron macaroon... it was great!
