Making a formula for emulsion mouthwash.
It's a completely new product type, so we're working in the dark as far as formulation and methods of manufacture are concerned. My job was to prepare initial samples to try and match the appearance and physical characteristics of Boots's product; got most of the way there today, there's just a couple more steps to go.

Plus, Boots's product is actually quite manky. The emulsion's a bit lumpy and uneven, it forms a skin if you leave it to stand for a while and it's quite acidic too, enough to demineralise your enamel - though that may be part of how it works.

At the moment we don't know whether it's down to poor quality control in their factory or if the formula itself is knackered.
What we've got so far is definitely smoother and more pleasant to use - though if I go in tomorrow and find all my samples have separated overnight, that won't count for much.
