Good weekend
Went over to Shrewsbury to see an old friend, met a couple of his Shrewsbury mates and did a bit of a pub crawl, excellent stuff.

Sunday we watched the end of the Grand Prix which was rather more exciting than it used to be, I might start watching it more. Came home, watched "Easy A" which was not the vapid teen rom-com I was expecting but much snarkier and smarter.

I agree
The race was pretty good, wasn't it?

Much more overtaking than I recall
it used to be just a procession - I would watch the little cars go round and round on a Sunday afternoon and it would lull me into a delightful nap. This was actually interesting.

It certainly was
All the way to the end, which is very rare, as they usually get into position and after the 2nd pit stop no one would change places unless an accident happened. It's much better like this.

It was a fucking cracking race, best in a long time.

I grew up in Shrewsbury.

Well, I spent the years 0-17 in Shrewsbury. It's questionable if I ever grew up.
