Yes, but Bella also thinks that the MAN is out to get her

(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 15:13, 2 replies, latest was 15 years ago)
Bella also thought it was a good idea to sleep with AA
I've revoked her thinking privileges
(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 15:15, Reply)

I don't have any bile directed at Bella
I find it amusing that a number of people on here have decided she's persona non grata, but I agree with a lot of her arguments. I just know that B3ta is not the place to bother having a lot of them.

Swipeys's personal attacks against her based on her "alternative" appearance would appear to be simply spiteful bitching.
(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 15:22, Reply)
hang on
it's nothing to do with her appearance.

and everything to do with her emo whining that she couldn't get a job in law because she is working class. which is total and utter bullshit. you'll get a job in law if you have good grades AND you interview well. that's it. blaming anything else is feeble and self-indulgent and requires a bit of a shake-up.

but mostly it's because she rises to it so fantastically, when everyone else just says "bugger off".
(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 15:23, Reply)
You do get stuck into her appearance quite a bit though
regardless of the root cause of your problem with her
(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 15:24, Reply)
did i?
i just remember calling her a "shouty little barmaid" or something.

but tbh if she didn't take out the piercings and the dye before going for an interview in the most conservative grey dullard profession in the country, what did she expect?
(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 15:25, Reply)
yo swipey talking of lawyering
you know that guy who cut his finger? well now he is saying the bath we delivered is damaged a good month or so after delivery and he is going to sue us. His email was HILARIOUS
(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 15:29, Reply)
Copy and paste it here!

(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 15:31, Reply)
oh excellent
how is he going to prove that?

ha, tell him that you'll put him to strict proof and also that you are now charging him for your time in dealing with it at £150 plus vat per hour and to date he owes £550 plus vat...
(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 15:41, Reply)
It looks liek all the enamel has been ground off with some kind of machine. It is not the kind of damage you get in transport.
He used the phrase " I am sure any court in the land will find in my favour" and I wanted to reply "maybe in crazy scottish land but not down here in sensible land"
(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 15:44, Reply)
Our terms and conditions state damages/shortages must be reported in writing within 5 days.
I have this shit ALL THE TIME.
(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 15:47, Reply)
Our official policy is 48 hours but we normally allow more if we like the customer
this guy is just a complete twat though. He also used the word "practicable" which I hate
(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 15:50, Reply)
TGB, do you sell things such as copper pipes and radiators
as well as baths and stuff? And if I were to purchase a new bath and sink and taps and stuff, would I get a discount because I know you and I'm giving you a lift to BGB's house?
(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 15:55, Reply)
yes and yes
and I would do you a discount yes and I could drop the stuff off in the van and we could have tea and cake in the garden
(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 15:58, Reply)
Awesome
I will definitely ask you for some prices when we redo our bathroom. Thanks!
(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 16:00, Reply)
cool cool
If you want some catalogues and stuff let me know I can drop some round whenevs
(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 16:01, Reply)
he sounds like a prize nutter
tell him you'll ask the court to find that he is a vexatious litigant.

tosser!
(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 15:48, Reply)
this is a little bit true
I have a gothy friend who despite her excellent degree from Oxford has signally failed to progress past interview so far
(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 15:30, Reply)
it shouldn't make a difference
but it makes a massive difference. especially in something like law.

naively people think they can go into it to make a difference. no. only after many years are you important enough to do that. at the beginning there is too much competition and you simply have to shovel what shit there is and play the game!
(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 15:42, Reply)
My mum keeps hinting that I should lose weight
for the sake of my job prospects :(
(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 15:47, Reply)
christ i love parents
tell her that's why you got into oxford, so you don't have to worry about interviews.

anyway, you're coming to work here, if you decide to do law. i will be pushing for it!
(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 15:49, Reply)
Nah, that's not a problem
The fact that you keep advocating letting poor people starve, deporting all darkies and a return to the days when only men on a high income were allowed to vote is working against you far more than your appearance.
(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 15:50, Reply)
Whaaat
how can you read my mind like that? I guess it's because you're on the same wavelength and think the same
(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 15:53, Reply)
it's how about 99% of the top staff at the top companies seem to act...

(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 15:55, Reply)
It's actually a requirement of membership of the CBI.

(, Thu 21 Apr 2011, 15:58, Reply)
I don't mind her at all, really. I find her constant student activism a bit tiresome
but she'll grow out of that soon enough.
