Surreal operatic experience I have to share with the internet.
I've just had a brief meeting about tax with a member of our chorus who had nipped out of dress rehearsals for a forthcoming opera.
He was a very nice chap indeed, which was slightly disconcerting considering that he's singing the role of Hitler.
What surreal events have happened to you lately?

I'm OK thank you sir.
I was trying to sort out drinks with your good lady a while back and it never quite happened. I ask you please to seize the reins of this runaway booze-horse and get it back on track.

I climbed on the back of a giant anchovy, and flew up through a gap in the clouds
to a land where music was playing incredibly loudly, and everyone was really happy and having a really good time. Except me.
That was quite surreal.

That song - and indeed that character's name - was shouted at me
wherever I went for a period of years. Like Al, it was a 'really heavy bummer'.
