I'm planning a lazy film day
A Jimmy Cagney triple bill of Angels With Dirty Faces, White Heat and Yankee Doodle Dandy is the plan, whether the kids play ball is another thing. Might have to bookend them with kid friendly fare (my choices would be Labyrinth and The Goonies, probably end up being Space Chimps and Pokemon *sigh*)

I'd laugh at this if I wasn't too traumatised from having watched the film

Not really a Cagney fan but I love Bette Davis, Joan Crawford, Katherine Hepburn etc
And old horror films.

I bought my mum a gorgeous Bette Davis book for Xmas last year
It was half biography half photo album and I was tempted to keep it for myself. I've always been a big Katherine Hepburn fan, love her films with Cary (second eldest son) Grant.

I read Bette and Joan's autobiographies a while ago. Amazing stuff went on around Hollywood at that time.
African Queen is one of my favorite Hepburn films.
