Walk dogs, buy cricket whites for nephew and either go to gym or walk dogs again but even longer with pub lunch thrown in.
I've just come back from Manchester where there was a man made beach in Castlefield with music, food and booze.

Apparently the beach and festivities are on for a few weeks.
There were even bouncers to keep out the riff raff, which definitely pissed of a few dodgy guys who were trying to get in.

I'm planning a lazy film day
A Jimmy Cagney triple bill of Angels With Dirty Faces, White Heat and Yankee Doodle Dandy is the plan, whether the kids play ball is another thing. Might have to bookend them with kid friendly fare (my choices would be Labyrinth and The Goonies, probably end up being Space Chimps and Pokemon *sigh*)

I bought my mum a gorgeous Bette Davis book for Xmas last year
It was half biography half photo album and I was tempted to keep it for myself. I've always been a big Katherine Hepburn fan, love her films with Cary (second eldest son) Grant.

I read Bette and Joan's autobiographies a while ago. Amazing stuff went on around Hollywood at that time.
African Queen is one of my favorite Hepburn films.

someone in the cinema actually screamed, which made me laugh a lot.
we went to chiquitos afterwards and we were all high and laughing about how nervous we were, when the pager to say our table was ready went off buzzing and scraping everywhere. we both jumped an absolute mile!

I've not even seen it and I just jumped when I heard a phone
ring in a room where there was no phone. Turns out my idiot ex had set my ipod to remind me when his birthday was some years ago. I've now stopped it. Also stopped it from sending a message to tell me he loves me on what would have been our anniversary. Twat
