damn near took the front lip spoiler off my S2000 and had the temerity to survive the experience. This is when I discovered that cat owners aren't legally responsible for their animals being retarded with regards to roads.

Mate of mine hit a deer in the New Forest doing about 95 .. sorry, dead on 60, officer ... on a Fireblade. Against all odds he survived and even kept the bike upright, if not intact. That's some luck. Or skill.

told me this, and she lives up on the Inverness coast. Happened to her son, I think.
Similarly I had a job getting home contents insurance a few years back because I lived above a baker's shop and was therefore an increased fire risk...
