What a day,
absolutely shattered. All day with the additional learning kids tomorrow, I might stick on the Kings Speech and try to be asleep by 10.
(, Tue 17 May 2011, 18:57, 2 replies, latest was 15 years ago)
that dull, eh?

(, Tue 17 May 2011, 18:58, Reply)
Just long mate, plus a flat tyre on the way home and having to spend an
hour making part of my fancy dress outfit have meant I have only just sat down and I left school at 15:40
(, Tue 17 May 2011, 19:01, Reply)
ah, at least it'll aid a good nights sleep

(, Tue 17 May 2011, 19:10, Reply)
I should imagine
it'll leave him unable to sleep going through all the things he needs to remember for the next day
(, Tue 17 May 2011, 19:13, Reply)
are you trying to set him up for failure?
or am I the only one that doesn't let things like that keep me up at night?
(, Tue 17 May 2011, 19:14, Reply)
nah, it's just what I always end up doing
especially when I was first teaching
(, Tue 17 May 2011, 19:21, Reply)
I am all prepped for tomorrow,
I don't have to teach them really, it's more behavioural management and support when they need it. I basically get to play board games, watch videos in Welsh and play Duplo with Charlie all afternoon.
(, Tue 17 May 2011, 19:18, Reply)
is 'play duplo with charlie'
a drug reference?
(, Tue 17 May 2011, 19:21, Reply)
hahahahaha no,
He is an autistic 7 year old who is obsessed with Duplo and really opens up when he is building something.
(, Tue 17 May 2011, 19:23, Reply)
The missus used a puppet with the last autistic kid she had to look after.
It really worked wonders. Fortunately the one she has now has relatively few emotional issues.

I don't have much experience with additional learning needs but
am really enjoying the chance to learn on the job. It can be heartbreaking in there though. Lot's of admiration for people who do it on a daily basis.
(, Tue 17 May 2011, 19:29, Reply)
It can be really bloody tough.
The last school she worked at had a special needs group, and she rarely came home without some kind of physical trauma. Bite marks, bruises, being spat at, and all for minimum wage. Not my idea of a fun time, I have to admit.
(, Tue 17 May 2011, 19:31, Reply)
ye they can be a bit punchy when they go into crisis.

(, Tue 17 May 2011, 19:35, Reply)
Go to the chippy Bob.
Bad days are made better with a visit to the chippy.
(, Tue 17 May 2011, 18:59, Reply)
No way, have a stag do this weekend so saving all my shitness for then.
Plus I don't really like fish and chips. I would have scampi and beans and no chips. Chip shop chips are awful.
(, Tue 17 May 2011, 19:01, Reply)
Where are you going on your stag weekend?

(, Tue 17 May 2011, 19:02, Reply)
Bournemouth

(, Tue 17 May 2011, 19:08, Reply)
You'll have fun.
You can get drunk and annoy pensioners and maybe have a round of crazy-golf.
(, Tue 17 May 2011, 19:09, Reply)
Friday is pub crawl, then the dogs, then titty b ar in WWE fancy dress
Saturday is all day golf then titty bar.
(, Tue 17 May 2011, 19:18, Reply)

to arouse suspicion, like you are over-compensating
(, Tue 17 May 2011, 19:20, Reply)
I didn't arrange it...

(, Tue 17 May 2011, 19:24, Reply)

You'll be too fucked from the Friday.

Golf is shit anyway.

(, Tue 17 May 2011, 19:21, Reply)

(, Tue 17 May 2011, 19:23, Reply)
I can only imagine that the one thing worse than playing golf
is pretending to play golf.
(, Tue 17 May 2011, 19:25, Reply)
I like golf, it's walking but fun.

(, Tue 17 May 2011, 19:31, Reply)
I'd rather just walk, I think.

(, Tue 17 May 2011, 19:32, Reply)
For lunch you could have a sandwedge.
