it is hard enough getting a decent wodge of chorizo at the supermarket,

Not even the giant Tesco by the motorway had provolone
nor Waitrose nor M&S. I'm looking at speciality cheese shops now for fucking pizza topping.

EDIT: I got a cracking CHorizo from Waitrose though. I've been just slicing bits of for snacks this evening, it's delicious.

really, you can replace any meat in a meal with chorizo and cause absolute havoc,
it is a brilliant meat.

I'm just thinking I made a lamb stew in the slowcooker in midweek
lamb, a carrot, a parsnip, an onion, a leek, some rosemary and some stock; I reckon a big hunk of chorizo would have added some Catalan flair to it.

Do you have an Aldi?

(, Sun 12 Jun 2011, 0:31, Reply)
And a Lidl
good call, they're good for European meats and cheeses. I shall have a scout tomorrow.

I get my chorizo in Aldi for less than half the Tesco price.
I still have to get Tigger's dinner in Tesco though.

Ellie would turn her nose up at store-brand food
had to be Felix for her.

He got bored with brands
and went to Tesco. Then he tired of that. Now it's Kit-e-Kat pouches. Not as easy to find as Whiskas or Felix.
When I bought Aldi pouches he just stared at me. For ages.

lol
Ellie would have phases where she'd go off things she'd eaten for years. I know when she had horrible terminal mouth cancer an infected scratch on her tongue (thanks emergency vet) I got her food in gravy rather than jelly. She'd always refused it before but now she loved it because she could get some of it without too much mouth movement.
