I had slow roasted lamb shanks in red wine, shallots and rosemary
with potato and parsnip mash. It was fucking lush. Then I had pistachio and white chocolate cheesecake which was similarly lush. To counteract the lolfattyness of it all, today I am having salad. This will be supremely boring.

If you roast the parsnips, then yes
but there's no point roasting parsnips when you're not doing roast potatoes, and more importantly if the oven is at 150oC to slow roast your lamb...so mash it was.
