I obviously don't know the whole story.
But, if you know the kid(s) are safe, and the grandparents will have them, send them off. It'll relieve some stress off you both.

Like I say they think they have equal say, even when we try and point out that we need to be consistent and supportive of each other.

I'm getting angry now, I think I'll go and mash my head with a hammer to relieve the fucking tension. I can't wait until I finish work, one less pile of shite to deal with.

I've met them and they're lovely.
They just love their only grandchild and I think, don't fully understand the implications of his mental state and the need for firm and consistent handling of him.
