I remember hearing the Scissor Sisters' version of 'Comfortably Numb' before I heard the original
Turns out they're both shite, who'd have thought it?

There are a couple of Scissor Sisters' tracks I like, having heard them before realising who the singers were.

Falsehood
Pink Floyd's version is fantastic. Which contributes to the staggering crapness of the Scissor Sisters' cover
(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 11:07, Reply)
It's dull as fucking ditchwater.

(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 11:09, Reply)
I'm pretty unimpressed by Pink Floyd in general

(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 11:10, Reply)
Their first album is a masterpiece of whimsical English psychedelia.
The singles compilation 'Relics' is perhaps even better.

Everything else is somewhere between mediocre, tedious, pompous wankery and Fucking Shit.

I'll be honest, Monty
To me it all sounds like pretentious guitar masturbation. They might as well be Dire Straits.
(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 11:18, Reply)
Another dismal, dismal outfit.

(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 11:26, Reply)
What are your thoughts on Jethro Tull?
They're the first live act I ever saw, aged 9.
(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 11:26, Reply)
I like 'This Was' a lot - it's a great British blues rock LP.
Stand Up's OK too but they have churned out some shit in their time.
(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 11:29, Reply)
I was brought up on their 70s and 80s stuff
My Dad loves old blues rock stuff.
(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 11:34, Reply)
The worst fiends for pretentious guitar masturbation are Dream Theater.

(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 11:32, Reply)
Surely that award goes to the fret-wankers in Dragonforce?

(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 11:37, Reply)
Dragonforce lose all pretence by not taking themselves seriously in the slightest
If they were serious, I'd agree with you 100%

*shakes hands*

*poses for photograph with Matt Ford*
EDIT: Get him to come to the MECHA-BA$H, that'd certainly improve it!
(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 11:21, Reply)
I could ask. Been a few years since I saw him though.

(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 11:28, Reply)
No it isn't. It's only fantastic in the same way that a pair of beige slacks from an insert in a Sunday paper is fantastic.

(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 11:10, Reply)
I agree with all that you say here

(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 11:24, Reply)
Very much this young Darth.

(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 11:31, Reply)
I once thought the same of Busted.
I have since seen the error of my ways.
(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 11:08, Reply)
Is this you coming out?

(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 11:09, Reply)
*looks round*
Seen them live
(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 11:09, Reply)
Fucking hell.
You think that's bad? I once went to see DC Talk.
(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 11:10, Reply)

...Delirious? for me
(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 11:24, Reply)
JESUS H FUCKING CHRIST!!
That's really, really bad. What on Earth were you thinking?
(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 11:47, Reply)
OMG I love Busted!
Charlie has the fittest eyebrows out of anyone, ever!!!!!
(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 11:12, Reply)
I used to think the girl out of Hanson was cute.
Yeah.
(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 11:13, Reply)
A person can have fit eyebrows?
How does that work?
(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 11:14, Reply)
The Rock has the fittest eyebrows in the world
cos they see more action than anyone else's
(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 11:15, Reply)
The mind boggles.

(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 11:49, Reply)
You know that twitchy feeling you get in your lady garden when you look at a really good beard?
Charlie's eyebrows do that to me.
(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 11:21, Reply)
That's funny
I get a twitch in my beard whenever I see a really good lady garden.
(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 11:22, Reply)
No, I really don't.
Being a bloke and all.
(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 11:22, Reply)
That twitchy feeling is probably lice.

(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 12:07, Reply)
You absolute fucking bender
Next time anyone calls me gay, I shall reply with "not as gay as AA - he saw Busted live".

I think you can imagine that you will be seeing this sentence a lot over the coming weeks and months.
(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 11:15, Reply)
Difference, I went to get into a girls knickers.
You're already in her knickers, yet you still prance about like a little fairy boy at Christmas.
(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 11:21, Reply)
Not as gay as AA, he went to see Busted live
Furthermore, there are laws against shagging Busted fans. It's really not on to take advantage of the mentally disabled, especially the 12-year-old ones
(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 11:26, Reply)
Meh, I was 16, so was she.

(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 11:29, Reply)
Then you fucked a mong

(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 11:35, Reply)
Flid, actually
Not like she could stop me, although her hands flapping around did present a nice breeze for me.
(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 11:37, Reply)
Cheeky shite
I won't tell her you said that, cos it made me laugh :-)
(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 11:40, Reply)
I changed it when I thought about it, as that would count as the first time I've ACTUALLY admitted to anything.

(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 11:41, Reply)
My response kind of makes sense as well
Not that anyone other than us is reading this
(, Tue 21 Jun 2011, 11:46, Reply)
Aye, it seems that way
