There's a quite beautiful Harold Budd remix of Labradford's track "V" that's not so much a remix as a couple of extra instrumental parts overdubbed onto it.
I'd highly recommend checking it out if you can find it. I think it was originally released on a Wire Tapper CD in 1998.

In my defence, I used to read the Wire because it covered anything and everything rather than just quirky not-too-alternative white 6Music (or what would have been 6Music had 6Music existed back then),
and stopped because they seemed to have forgotten about music altogether and seemed intent on drowning their readers in jargon.
