Make sure you take some photos.
I've seen on the telly that it's the done thing for someone to throw your camera off the top of the crane and for you to jump off after it.

although most cameras won't handle more than 4 or 5 a second
and compacts/bridge cameras need some recovery time for processing

They're usually 4 or 5 a second
depending on the exposure
