I am well aware of the chronology of Blur records.
Just drawing attention to their genre tourism and how fucking awful it was when they dabbled in lo fi and, well, trying to sound like Spiritualized. You have to remember just how fucking immense Spiritualized were back then, and only then will you realise that Tender is to Ladies & Gentlemen...what the Gobots were to Transformers.

I could ask you what you thought of a particular song they did which depicted middle-class life, was before their 'lo-fi' thing, didn't impersonate Holy bleeding Spiritualized or Pavement and you'd still go "YES IT'S PRETENDING TO BE WORKING CLASS AND IT'S AN AFFRONT, YES AN AFFRONT, TO STEVEN MALKMUS.
