Hello!
today I'm going to shampoo my guinea pigs. At the weekend I'm off to see some pictures what I did in an exhibition (less exciting than it sounds - 399 other people are in it, too)

Can you do that to guinea pigs?
I know that hamsters die if you wash them.

hamsters can catch cold if you wash them an don't dry them properly (and they don't usually need it)
guinea pigs are tougher. My guys stink at the moment, I've got proper guinea pig shampoo and everything

Pig shampoo? Mark used to have guinea pigs and I don't think he ever washed them. They were lovely; so cute and soft.

i think they're mostly OK
but for some reason they honk at the moment - they just had their balls cut off so I wonder if it's some kind of hormonal thing

My gerbil had his tail bitten off by another gerbil and afterwards he grew huge balls, I think he was compensating

do they make really cute noises? I once bathed my sister's ferret (not a euphemism) and he hated it so much he clawed his way up my arm and into my hair.

although at 4am when they suddenly squeak loud, it makes me jump. One started losing his voice the other day, that was cute
