I was up at half six pretending to be Squidward Tentacles.
Since then I've been to Hackney City Farm, an adventure playground (are they still called that?) where I had to face away from my daughter on the swings so she could kick me up the arse at the apex of her swing (about thirty times), I've designed a new monster called 'Crab Monster', watched 'Karate Island', cleaned my bathroom, put some washing on and had a gigantic reefer.

You know the first one is based on this, right?

I do now.
I love Big Daddy Kane. Really getting into some of MC Lyte's stuff as well. The comments on 99% of these videos sum it all up for me. All this stuff, especially in the early 80s, used to be so artistically decent. Rappers carrying the beat as opposed to riding it. Now it's just depressing. Chris Rock sums it up well; www.youtube.com/watch?v=bcqJDDhoUlc

It's just ridiculously good.
The top comment sums it up again. I might get that book How to Rap actually, you read it?
This has been getting a lot of play time as well lately; www.youtube.com/watch?v=KutXyPEEbQs

Tomorrow.
Plenty of time left to wake up in a panic ten minutes before they are due to arrive and run around with Febreze and 'Cif' Bathroom.

Well, within reason.

I like Kool G Rap and Divine Styler.
I fucking love hip hop culture.

Kool G Rap's 'Ill Street Blues' is incredible.
DJ Polo was shit, as was Eric B. In both cases the 'DJ' bankrolled the venture and was actually a drug dealer laundering money/vanity project, like how Eazy E funded NWA. Rakim's job nearly went to Freddy Foxx, fact fans. This is also, fact fans if you're still with me, how Barry White started his musical career.

Kool G Rap was so good he released a demo as his first single.
It's called, err, 'It's A Demo'.

Oh Monts, you make me sad, you spend a beutiful day with your darling daughter, the love of your life, the fruit of your looms, you create a picture of idealic happiness... and then a desire to get compos mentis, to experiance pure oblivion.
Ya' gotta feel, before ya' can heal.
