In the meant time, she's bought plane tickets to see me and I've found another girl who could be the girl of my dreams.

There's only one way to deal with this
Tell her you're not interested, you don't care about her plane ticket and that if she does turn up, you'll cunt-punch her.

Thing is though, if the girl of my dreams comes out as not practical, then this girl I've settled with is the second best option that everyone would be happy with.
And I don't know if the girl of my dreams is really practical, I've only looked at her profile on the scale of things.
