Of course I don't mean everyone will automatically become addicted to computer games. I do however think that they are marginally more addictive than other hobbies.
I think the only other hobby which can become addictive is exercise.

this is why he is grumpy. it's not personal to you. it's just the build-up of intense sweaty hairy-palmed sexual frustration, which will culminate later in a sad lonely little wank over some pixels bunched together in the form of an ACTUAL WOMAN.

practically all my mates still play games a lot and nigh on all of them are in happy stable relationships with attractive and intelligent women.

now agree with me about the sweaty little wank and move on.
although if i were to make a serious point, i would have to say that music/books etc are perhaps more likely to lead to getting laid, as you might go to a gig or a book club etc (oh god, that ghastly match.com advert.... i like old films....) whereas computer gaming clubs etc - come on, you KNOW it'd just be fat sweaty nerdy men.

I think it's people that are likely to get addicted to stuff that get addicted to hobbies, not that any hobby is more likely to be addictive.
Personally, I get really OCD about organising my music collection and I also get really hooked on games, but I also get really into a book and will do that in preference to anything else until I've finished it.
