I miss my leather mandarin style jacket that I got in Hong Kong.
It got ripped shortly before I moved, and then lost in transit. It could have been repaired but would have had that added 'a bit battered and lived in' look.

Ford vans must be getting bigger.

Not bad, Jeff.
Not great, but not bad.

What is getting you down?

I think sometimes that battered look looks cool.
Especially on jeans.
And OH MY GOOD GIDDY AUNT, what are the fucking chances, I've just found the Margaret Howell jacket on Yahoo Japan auctions. I'm going slightly faint. Now I just need to work out what the hell it says on the listing page as it's surprisingly it's all in Japanese.
EDIT - ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH it's a large.

Don't buy it.
It'll be radioactive and any superpowers you get will be rubbish.

This is no joking matter.
When I can't have something, or something is taken from me, I have to have it. Once when I ordered something online I got an email back saying they were out of stock and gave me a refund, I took this as a challenge. Phoned every Reiss store in London and ended up going to Islington to pick up the shirt I originally bought that was out of stock on the website. I didn't even like it that much.
And regarding this jacket, I will find one if it's the last thing I ever do.

Yeah, but a Jap large is probably a 'back to skool' size in the UK
Link it anyway.

It's an English brand but for some reason there's loads of it available in Japan.
The pictures on this auction listing are shite, I'll try and find some decent ones.
(, Tue 30 Aug 2011, 18:41, Reply)
It's probably fake then.

Nah Yahoo Japan auctions are pretty good for having none of that sorta stuff.
Plus I think it's far too small a label for people to bother making snides of. The Japs just love their fashion/clothes which is why I assume there's a lot of it out there.

I'm surprised the Japs are so keen to sell jackets.
I saw a film about Pearl Harbour and there was a nasty nip in the air then.

Do you watch Arrested Development?

(, Tue 30 Aug 2011, 18:50, Reply)
No.
I've never heard of it.
(, Tue 30 Aug 2011, 18:52, Reply)
You should, it's the funniest sitcom ever.
But ANYWAY, there's a running joke where a private investigator always comes upto Lucille, the old woman, pretends to be someone else and then reveals himself as Gene, the private investigator. Her reaction is exactly the same thing I do when I read one of your puns: www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJNedXRurSI

Said jacket got caught in the seat hinges at St James' Park
which caused some pieces of leather to be cut out. I managed to get it repaired, but it took on that battered look which was quite good.
