I managed to pay my credit card bill twice
because I'm an idiot, so I've just called Tesco and they are sending me a check for the amount I'm currently in credit, but it's going to take 10 to 14 days for me to get it.

Which is shit, but since it's my own fault I can't really complain too much.

Ouch
Tesco fucked me over by charging me for non-payment after deciding my D/D setup was not setup any more. Cunts

I'm trying to cancel an order with Sendit.com.
As I ordered a shedload of cheap DVDs and CDs about two months ago, before realising that they've changed their postage policy and now charge £1.99 per item. I quickly realised that although the items I wanted may have been a little more expensive on Play.com, the free postage negated the cheaper cost per item of Sendit. So I didn't process the order, and now get regular email reminders from them saying that my order is still waiting to be completed.

Fuck me, it's difficult. No sign of the 'remove item' flag their 'help' page keeps referring to, and if I click the next page on the order summary it's the confirm order page, which I'm reluctant to do as i don't know whether that will automatically place the order or not which means fannying around with returns. Even trying to email them to ask how to cancel the order took me half an hour.

Block their e-mail address
and send them a massive turd in the post.
(, Tue 6 Sep 2011, 16:38, Reply)
I may be able to disable my account.
I'm also waiting for a reply from Vodafone as the supposed upgrade handset I got the other month is nothing of the sort, and I appear to be paying VAT on top of the price plan when my account says it's included. Fucking shitcunts.

I've never even heard of them
I use HMV, amazon or play - often HMV as they still give me automatic student discount, for some reason...
(, Tue 6 Sep 2011, 16:39, Reply)
I've used Sendit a few times
as they do tend to undercut everyone else on some things, but the change in postage policy has led me to think 'maybe not in the future'.

I nearly always buy CDs second hand off Amazon
usually through zoverstocks, but sometimes others.

And DVDs I usually only buy from Tesco or Sainsburys when they are 3 or 4 quid.
(, Tue 6 Sep 2011, 16:43, Reply)
I very rarely buy DVDs on release
unless it's something I really want to see and can't wait the four months or so before they reduce the price.
(, Tue 6 Sep 2011, 16:48, Reply)
are you sure they aren't sending you a cheque?

(, Tue 6 Sep 2011, 16:39, Reply)
No, they are being american and sending me a check
When I recieve it I will be english and pay my cheque into the bank.
(, Tue 6 Sep 2011, 16:40, Reply)
good man
I frequently find that I will pay off my credit card around the time that the minimum payment comes out, leaving me with £5 in credit in my card.

That is annoying.
(, Tue 6 Sep 2011, 16:41, Reply)
You should just disable the direct debit
and make your payments manually.
(, Tue 6 Sep 2011, 16:43, Reply)
then I'll occasionally forget to do one and get penalised £12 or something

(, Tue 6 Sep 2011, 16:44, Reply)
You massive retard.

(, Tue 6 Sep 2011, 16:45, Reply)
I can't deny it

(, Tue 6 Sep 2011, 16:46, Reply)
No, a turd in the post
Do keep up old boy.
(, Tue 6 Sep 2011, 16:44, Reply)
Why didn't you just leave it?
You'd have had money on your card to spend then.
(, Tue 6 Sep 2011, 16:52, Reply)
Because he's a massive spastic?

(, Tue 6 Sep 2011, 16:54, Reply)

the pie shop doesn't take credit cards

(, Tue 6 Sep 2011, 16:55, Reply)
There is this as well.
Mind you, our local Chinese takeaway doesn't take card or cheque payments, which is a bit of a pain in the arse when you fancy one and have to drive to the bank to get money out.
(, Tue 6 Sep 2011, 16:57, Reply)
I think my local chinese takeaway is the same
the cads
(, Tue 6 Sep 2011, 16:57, Reply)
It's crap as the takeaway is a two minute walk, if that
and the nearest cash machine is about a mile away. Who said modern times were easy, eh?
(, Tue 6 Sep 2011, 17:01, Reply)
Pfft - they just know you're dolescum and don't trust you.

(, Tue 6 Sep 2011, 16:58, Reply)
Hmmph.
Technically I'm not dolescum as I'm not signing on. Yet.
