Aphex Twin - Digiridoo, electronic music from the future. Made all the insipid rave stuff sound foolish and flaccid.
Faust - Tapes, electronic music from the past. Incredible cut up journey that oscillates between aural angels of mercy and angels of death. Opened the doors of Krautrock.
Captain Beefheart - Moonlight on Vermont, gravelly preacher man psychedelic blues. No one sounds like the Captain.
Crooked Jades - Sandy Boys, heard this by pure chance on Radio 2. Stunning track by a truly unbelievable band. Changed everything I believed about live music.
Nick Drake - Cello Song, left me stunned and dazed. Beautifully timeless
