I am unconvinced.
it seems that, at best it could show with 100% accuracy what you were seeing. This could be achieved with a video camera pointing the way you are looking, no? or am I missing something, seems like a nice trick, might lead to something interesting, maybe one day, but for now a fun novelty, or am I missing something, might be better with a more detailed description of the process.

Only the visual component of my dreams
and only assuming that that component is processed by my visual cortex in the same way as things I see. It's a stretch.
