Mastodon are excellent on record, but I find that their newer stuff doesn't translate as well to live performance.Although 'Blood And Thunder' is still excellent to hear live.

I saw them on the Crack the Skye tourand it was fucking brilliant. I wouldn't want to see them do that at every performance, but everything I've heard them play off Blood Mountain when I've seen them before has sounded good too.

I've heard many others say the same as youI just didn't enjoy it live as much as I did the album, sadly.
