2 Months when both people have agreed is a rapid timescale for getting all the paperwork sorted anyway
You need to have a survey done and you need to get the mortgage application sorted and completed and agreed, and there are various other legal things.

Seriously, if you don't have a solicitor, I can let you have my sisters details, she's really very good at her job.

It took us six months to buy our place and we were fucking renting it at the time.
*grumbles about the useless bloody council and them squeezing another six months rent from us*

I think ours took about 3 months from finding the place we wanted to owning it.
Which is a reasonably good turnaround.

That's reasonable.
But considering we were living in the place, there was no chain and it was a cash buy, the council really dragged their heels over the whole thing. deliberately, in my opinion.

Oh yeah, I'm sure they did.
Bunch of fuckers.

Yup, we already got the mortgage.
Gaz me her details and I'll pass them onto Ma', I think we already have one but i think it's one of those places where they have loads of people on the books and you phone up a generic number and just speak to anyone.
