So what is menthol made from?
I'd assume mint, which grows like a weed. No shortage of it in my garden.

It is part of mint, but it comprises such a small part that you'd have to grow (and subsequently waste) a ridiculous amount of mint if you wanted to produce it in substantial quantities.
