I've only ever killed one thing to eat it, and was quite disappointed when I didn't like it
However, I would have no problem in killing and preparing animals (given the correct tools).

Rabbits are a bit of a bastard to prepare, and they fucking reek, but once you've got the pelt off, it's not too bad.
