I reckon I could write one of those thesises on it.
The way it appeals to the romantic side in most people, showing that through both the personal storms and normal times, you can have a cup of tea which will calm things down. The fact that the two women go into 'one' shows that sometimes you don't quite feel yourself. It's really very good, even the fact that the singer isn't pitch-perfect adds to the "That could be me" ness in a lot of the audiances.

It's the woman 'finding' herself
or 'becoming' herself again. It's symbolic. With emphasis on teh last two syllables.

Quite a lot, seeing her with a cup of tea at the end when she's normal and calm, when the two girls become one, portrays the message they want to get across; that a good cup of tea can make you feel more calm, relaxed and at-one.
Oh shit, thank's for making me think about it, I'm about to buy tea for the first time in god knows how many years. I occasonally have mint tea that I make myself, but now I want one of those poofy teas.
brb, going tesco to get tea and a chicken.

Yeah', about 10 minutes ago, it's a lovely cuppa, I feel the calm after the storm.
I want to be in my new flat with my new couch with one of these cuppas all snugged up in a new dressing gown after a long relaxing bath, my bath, with all 'em products, lush stuff, while reading my book. Oh man, drinking a nice relaxing cup of cannonsomething, honey and vanila tea in my new flat will be wonderful.
