Do you find treadmill runs to be more difficult than running outdoors, or am I just weird?

You are supposed to add +1 to the gradient to make the run more realistic to the altering terrain you find outside.

Most of the running routes I do round here are like running on Keira Knightley's chest. I think it's a combination of being hotter indoors and not being able to stretch my strides for fear of falling off the treadmill that does it
