Thread is getting a bit long and politically bitey.
Plus, too many Youtube links.

What was your favourite bedtime story as a nipper? I can't remember, personally, but my I'm told that my dad used to read a few select favourites to me over and over because I liked them. Every so often he would try and change the narrative, to which I'd respond "That's not right". Precocious smart arse, me.

Alt alt alt: I don't fucking know. Who would win in a fight, a polar bear with a lightsaber or a shark on wheels?

I've been to America a few times, Bob.
Orlando, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Florida Keys, Tampa, San Francisco, LA, San Diego, Vegas, New England. I'd love to get out there again at some point.

What I thought was cheese is just good manners and principles. I love it here.

I am dyslexic
I got read to to a stupidly late age as I couldn'y read for shit til I was about 12. The hobbit was read to me when I was much younger than that, also LOTR.

it's OK
the film gets through it quicker and you don't get Tom Bombadil
(, Wed 2 Nov 2011, 22:59, Reply)
Or as he is known by most people who have read the book:
Tom fucking Bombadil and his fucking boots of fucking yellow.

The Ja Ja Binks of the fantasy world.
(, Wed 2 Nov 2011, 23:00, Reply)

You promised me. I feel bereft now. I'm going to throw myself on the main road and hope that the cigarette I'm smoking catches a trail of petrol from the car that runs me over, thereby taking out a total innocent into the bargain.

(, Wed 2 Nov 2011, 23:20, Reply)
Mine was 'More Tales of Mrs Hedgehog'
I think my mum still has it somewhere.

Alt: If I were on here more often I might find them annoying but at the moment it just means more posts I have to skim over. Has banning been an effective deterrent before?

Alt alt: Briefs. Boxers bunch up too much.

Alt alt alt: I'm not seeing a polar bear having anywhere near enough gripping skills to wield a lightsaber, so shark.
(, Wed 2 Nov 2011, 22:37, Reply)
But there's the whole trundling along on wheels out of water thing going on, Bill.

(, Wed 2 Nov 2011, 22:47, Reply)
I'm picturing the polar bear scrabbling around for the lightsaber while the shark trundles up and bites it on the arse
The only acceptable way for a shark to lose is Roy Scheidercide.
(, Wed 2 Nov 2011, 22:50, Reply)
how would it even control its speed and direction!

which it then can't use for fighting

(, Wed 2 Nov 2011, 23:21, Reply)
I don't remember having a particular favourite bedtime story
but my Dad and I would sing 'I know an old woman who swallowed a fly' in its entirety, over and over again. My Mum still can't hear that song today without screaming.

Alt: maybe the other one will fuck off now, too.

Alt Alt: depends on who's wearing them.

Alt Alt Alt: Polar bear, probably. Longer reach and more manual (pawual?)dexterity.
(, Wed 2 Nov 2011, 22:58, Reply)
he wouldn't need a lightsaber he would still destroy the shark.

(, Wed 2 Nov 2011, 23:02, Reply)

Yeah, but he was an annoying twonk.
Despite what others think, I don't have any particular beef with you so far. Unless you are actually baldmonkey, in which case I hope you die in a fire and then get banned from hell. No offence, like.
(, Thu 3 Nov 2011, 0:36, Reply)
if i was baldmonkey i think i'd have been banned too
not baldmonkey, not wormulus, not anyone else
(, Thu 3 Nov 2011, 0:54, Reply)
