I stole a packet of chewing gum from Tesco
I picked it up in one hand, scanned all my shopping through with the other hand, paid and then walked out.

And I didn't get caught.

I once got a hessian bag, scanned my shopping, put the shopping in it and then got home and realised I hadn't scanned the bag
But I didn't mean to do that. I didn't go back and tell them either.

I didn't mean to do it either
but I did actually realise before I had left the shop and still didn't go back.

Does that make me a bad person Roota?

I couldn't have left the shop if I'd known.
I'd have been like that fella in Midnight Express, all heartbeat and scary music.

I bought something from the hot counter in Tesco and it didn't scan properly
I thought it was a bit odd, as I'd been working out the cost of the shopping in my head, and I was £1.00 out. Thought I'd just been a bit of a mong until I got home, and spotted that I'd pinched a spicy sausage without meaning to.

Nah, I don't really know much about sport.
Are you going to do the Neolithic Marathon with us next year?
(, Wed 16 Nov 2011, 12:16, Reply)
You're the second person in 24 hours to ask me about a marathon
Details please

Here

Marathon across Salisbury Plain, ends up near Stonehenge, off road on a track, has a couple of hills, apparently one of the toughest marathons in the UK. Piece of piss.

Me and CHCB and DiT are doing it.

All 26 miles?
So you're officially a crazy person now? I'll get back to you once I've got a half-marathon under my belt.

Pussy.

I'm up for it in principle but I'm worried I might die
Never having run further than 9 miles in one go, and that was four months ago. Plus I don't want to commit to it and then have to pull out. I know how upset you were last time.
(, Wed 16 Nov 2011, 12:38, Reply)
I cried a tear just for you.

Was it from your sex nose?

I ran two miles yesterday
I'm currently working on keeping my average pace on any run I do below 10 minutes a mile.

Is this a good technique, or should I just be concentrating on running really long distances?
(, Wed 16 Nov 2011, 12:51, Reply)
If you can maintain that pace on longer runs it'll be a good achievement
It's very difficult to maintain a constant pace when you know a long distance is stretching out ahead of you. That practice should boost your fitness no end.

That said, they recommend that if you can't run 15 miles 6 weeks before trying a marathon, you won't make it. So you and I both need to up our maximum distance before next summer. Boosting your fitness before the weather is good enough for outdoor running is a good plan though.
