I did beef in guinness yesterday
it was rather nice, if I do say so myself.

Chucked some carrots and mushrooms in as well. Should be well nom.

That's pretty much what I've done
a bit of tomato puree and some thyme, and a bit of brown sugar to counteract the bitterness of the Guinness (although that shouldn't be a bother if you like the taste of Guinness, but I don't)
Served with celeriac and potato mash.

This is why Me, You and DG would make better husbands than Mr b3th. DG is taken, so he's out the game, so that leaves me and you. I'll be honest, I'll be just as happy knowing you two were together as being involved myself... I don't mind that at all, you two can work it out, I'll go with the flow.
