It's true that my fixed rate savings account did quite well at that time
But I hardly think a child's savings make up for all the poor bastards who lost their houses.

If you look at the charts, Inflation hit a low after 83 and the GDP chart goes from being
Massive high one quarter, contraction the next, to a very smooth quarterly upward trending line. Also, national debt fell a lot until 92, rose, then fell again after 94. In 2001 we had a good surplus.
If Labour had carried on as in 2001 I'd probably be supporting them now.
Also, the Right to buy was a great policy that gave millions of people the property they had a right to, even Ed Milliband says labour should have voted for it, the fact that Labour were against home ownership cost them millions of votes.
