I kinda miss it. My brother lives in London, now and is known by TWO local chip shops as 'Mush Peas', because he's about the only who orders them, and I think in one case the only reason they started selling them was his fault

You are far too practical.
The idea is that you have to hunt for the vinegar and salt. I guess you'd pack yours in a special box all marked up ready.
