one of my friends has the ugliest kids you've ever seeni mean, it looks like they are both properly down with the syndrome.

ask how they're doing developmentallyE.g. crawling, verbalising, or whatever is age appropriate. Then say how good that is. Avoid the urge to finish the sentence with "considering".
