If it helps, I almost got the man to change careers half way through my appointment.
It took his computer about 20 seconds to render the 3D image, so I said "My Dad used to play around with similar software, he was just playing with ideas with property, rather than spec'ing up a room... But I've never worked out why the people who make this stuff don't use video-game SDKs, it would be photo-realistic and you could walk around as if you're in the room.", and he started talking about how he looked into that idea but they told him he'll be a coffee-boy for years and move to the states... so I told him about how my manager used to work for Valve, and I'm sure they can pass on to a development studio.

Hah, he said I should make it the tool, so I told him it cost a few hundred thousand by the time you include development times, licances and contracts... that it's way out of my remit.
But if someone could, they could make a fortune.
