Apart from Brel, who exactly have Belgium contributed to the world of music?
Edit: Of course - Django Reinhart. I think that is probably it, though.

I can only thing of Plastic Bertrand.
And he was a fraud.

One hit wonder
But it was a corker...

I rather liked it.
Bertrand didn't even sing on it though. He was like the Milli Vanilli of novelty punk.

He didn't?
Oh man, now I don't know what to believe in anymore.

Nope.
Apparently he wanted to but the record company wouldn't let him.

*EDIT* "In 2010, an expert appointed by a court stated that the voice of Lou Deprijck, the composer/producer of "Ça plane pour moi," on a record from 2006 is the same voice as on the original 1977 recording. "Today it appears from the report of the experts that the voice of 'Ça plane pour moi' is Lou Deprijck's voice," stated the newspaper La Dernière Heure on Monday, 26 July 2010. Plastic Bertrand previously disputed the allegation, but on 28 July 2010 the singer finally revealed that he is indeed not the singer of any of the songs in the first four albums released under the name Plastic Bertrand."

(, Tue 14 Feb 2012, 18:52, Reply)
Sure, if you like that kind of thing.

(, Tue 14 Feb 2012, 18:53, Reply)
And what kind of thing would that be?

(, Tue 14 Feb 2012, 18:58, Reply)
"Chamber rock" is a broadly accurate description I've read.
The early albums are a bit like Bartók or Stravinsky with a drumkit.
