Sunday morning sounds
Right now I can hear the glorious music of Arvo Part, the sizzling of eggs frying in a pan, the "pssht" sounds of my 6 year old playing with his light sabre and the delighted squeals of his 2 month old sister watching him.
What does your Sunday morning sound like?
(, Sun 26 Feb 2012, 9:25, 104 replies, latest was 14 years ago)
Oh I see
All you people without kids are still in bed.
(, Sun 26 Feb 2012, 9:40, Reply)

The sounds in my place are of a scraper removing wallpaper and a grizzling baby
(, Sun 26 Feb 2012, 9:49, Reply)
Hang about.
If you are posting here, then that much mean Mrs Battered is doing the wallpaper removal.
(, Sun 26 Feb 2012, 9:54, Reply)
Morning mate. It means I am having a break before carrying on.

(, Sun 26 Feb 2012, 9:58, Reply)
Oooh, Matron. Nooo!!

(, Sun 26 Feb 2012, 9:59, Reply)
I've just made myself a bacon sandwich
And I've got a cup of coffee.

I'll be going to the gym later on and I'll probably watch the football.

I don't have a light sabre.
(, Sun 26 Feb 2012, 9:52, Reply)
I'm bored.
Someone post something entertaining.
(, Sun 26 Feb 2012, 11:49, Reply)
Afternoon weekend shutins.
as of today, we have a grown-up grandchild. This makes me feel very old.

However, spending time with the family is always fun, and we're going out for a big gathering of the clan later. And we all have to watch her buy her dad a pint. This should be exciting.
(, Sun 26 Feb 2012, 13:06, Reply)
I can't imagine there is a single teenager in WsM who hasn't been granted 'regular' status in a pub.

(, Sun 26 Feb 2012, 13:10, Reply)
There are some that aren't entirely feral.

(, Sun 26 Feb 2012, 13:16, Reply)
So how many kids does this 18 year old have?

(, Sun 26 Feb 2012, 13:20, Reply)
She's a good'un

(, Sun 26 Feb 2012, 13:35, Reply)
a good'un eh?
So they are all by the same father, yeah.
(, Sun 26 Feb 2012, 13:42, Reply)
So, what you up to today then?
Something exciting, I'll be bound.
(, Sun 26 Feb 2012, 13:45, Reply)
Nothing.
I'm going to go to the gym later and I'll watch the football.

I went out on Friday and Saturday night, so it'll be a quiet one today. And I've got a busy week next week.

Are you going to the quiz?
(, Sun 26 Feb 2012, 13:52, Reply)
Yeah, just for a change.
I feel like I should be doing something outside in the sunshine, but I'm comfy here.
(, Sun 26 Feb 2012, 13:56, Reply)
Why not take the dog for a nice long walk?

(, Sun 26 Feb 2012, 13:56, Reply)
Because I'm comfy here.
Comfy and lazy.
(, Sun 26 Feb 2012, 14:01, Reply)
Well put some music on.
Make a nice cup of tea and have some chocolate.
(, Sun 26 Feb 2012, 14:03, Reply)
No chocolate.
Diet.
I might have a banana though.
(, Sun 26 Feb 2012, 14:06, Reply)
What are you avoiding for your diet, aside from chocolate?

(, Sun 26 Feb 2012, 14:08, Reply)
I'm not particularly avoiding anything.
But mr b3th and I are doing weightwatchers. Started the other day.
(, Sun 26 Feb 2012, 14:13, Reply)
Well go for that walk then.
Or why not go swimming, swimming is good exercise.

And then you can justify a glass of booze at the quiz.
(, Sun 26 Feb 2012, 14:17, Reply)
My inbuilt flotation devices make swimming rather difficult.
There's a fair chance I might just stay here. You enjoy the gym, though.
(, Sun 26 Feb 2012, 14:23, Reply)
I'll go there and watch the League Cup Final.
Did you know that Liverpool wrote to the FA to ask if their fans could bring flares with them. Apparently the last time they were at Wembley everyone was wearing them!
(, Sun 26 Feb 2012, 14:28, Reply)
LTI.
Is that match on terrestrial telly?
(, Sun 26 Feb 2012, 14:29, Reply)
Yeha, BBC One
Coverage starts at 3, with the game kicking off at 4.

That'll be something for you to slob-out in front of.
(, Sun 26 Feb 2012, 14:32, Reply)
I'm totally there, dude.
Well, the first half, anyway. We're meeting the family at five.
(, Sun 26 Feb 2012, 14:33, Reply)
Are you going to have a buffet with the family
And if so, will there be cheese and pineapple?
(, Sun 26 Feb 2012, 14:35, Reply)
No, no buffet.
We're going out to dinner.
(, Sun 26 Feb 2012, 14:37, Reply)
The chippy doesn't usually do cheese and pineapple.
Ask them if they'll do some for you as you're their best customer.
(, Sun 26 Feb 2012, 14:42, Reply)
You can go off people, you know....

(, Sun 26 Feb 2012, 14:44, Reply)
You've never had a go on me!

(, Sun 26 Feb 2012, 15:03, Reply)
Except in your dreams, obviously.

It sounds like the hum of the computer in my office
At least it's doing the hard work for the time being, so I can have some lunch.

I really hope "light sabre" isn't a euphemism.

Did you have cheese and pineapple?
(, Sun 26 Feb 2012, 15:21, Reply)

(, Sun 26 Feb 2012, 15:25, Reply)
I like cheese and pineapple.

(, Sun 26 Feb 2012, 15:26, Reply)
it was wicked fun!
I bought a bit of food and drink, but then some friends came round friday, made cake, bought useful things I'd not thought of and generally just catered. Then the rest came round Saturday - some brought food and drink one had baked bread specially. Basically they obviously just worried that it was me organising it.

We had a top time, lots of chatting with people I don't see often enough
(, Sun 26 Feb 2012, 15:25, Reply)
oh, but no cheese and pineapple

(, Sun 26 Feb 2012, 15:25, Reply)
Shame.
Did you see that I added more details to the calendar about what is likely to be happening on the cider boat when we're due to be there?

Will there be cheese and pineapple?

(, Sun 26 Feb 2012, 15:31, Reply)

Paaaaain. Why do 5Live have to interview John Bishop?! WHY!!! His voice, his stupid voice.
(, Sun 26 Feb 2012, 15:44, Reply)
He was just on the telly as well.
The last time Liverpool got to a final they'd have interviewed Tarby. Not any more.

1980s '...my mother-in-law is so....' etc. I thought as a culture we were past that. Admittedly I think I've only seen him on hignfy

I've tuned into Barry. I've just order some shoes I don't need, don't care that much for and will probably rarely put on.

Just because they were reduced.

Why?

But it really isn't in this months budget (or next months, or the month after that as well).
