do you know what?
bilbao were brilliant over both games and there's a lot of people clusterwanking about it today but frankly .. at no point in either game did Man U actually look like they were trying or that they gave a shit. I don't understand it, really.

You know Utd have been done when Fergie can't be arsed to whinge about the ref
It's bound to prompt the usual caterwauling about this not being a vintage United side but the Europa League is hardly the measure of that.

I think though, the point is, regardless of the quality of competition or how much the fans/players claim not to care
they got proper outclassed. Twice. And that's just funny.
(, Fri 16 Mar 2012, 9:09, Reply)
I don't understand why the players didn't care
but they very obviously didn't.

what I find proper funny is my scouse mates banging on about Man U being knocked out of europe twice. Yeah, try qualifying for europe before you comment, boys.

I'm actually far more worried about how rancid they were against Basle tbh.

there is a certain style of football that UK teams seen unable to cope with
but really, if you watched the games, they were half-arsed about everything. They could have competed had they bothered trying... it's almost like if they didn't try, they wouldn't need to care about risking losing.

Edit: Fergie hasn't whined properly all season. I think someone has replaced him with some kind of clone.

hearing "Crockett's Theme"

I always picture some sweaty, long-haired virgin in his mid-30s, wearing an Iron Maiden T-shirt
surrounded by similar stereotypes, bellowing in what he imagines to be a gruff approximation of John Rhys-Davies' bellow in Lord of the Rings, as he pretends to be a mighty Dwarven warrior named Torin Banhammer.

But that's just me.
(, Fri 16 Mar 2012, 9:53, Reply)
That is how I picture everyone on here.

A Jock manage England? Whatever next, the World Cup bring played in a country who've never qualified for the tournament, home to stone age attitudes, alcohol restrictions and absurdly high temperatures, just because they're oil-rich?
