I now have friends who travel across the city to eat his food (and this is in a city which has no shortage of Indian restaurants & takeaways). If you are ever vaguely near the Midlands, I will insist on dragging you there.

Most places tend to have roughly the same generic menu with little to distinguish them. There are huge variations between the food from the north and the south of India.

Which one is it? I'm (nearly) in Cov so I'd like to give it a go!

I absolutely insist that you go there. If you don't love it, I will pay for your meal. All freshly prepared South Indian food (he buys all his ingredients daily from the greengrocer around the corner). As opposed to the bland generic Bangladeshi food that is on offer at most Indian places in Cov.
