I still need to read teh last three books of the Dark Tower series.
I really loved the first three. The fourth one was a bit 'meh' and I understand the last two are excellent. I really must get round to doing that soon.

The last Stephen King I really enjoyed was Cell. That was a pretty excellent zombie book.

and I'm afraid for once I agree with the dozer, Galilee was a bit like a mash up of his old stuff. Although the other problem with that book was the WHOLE PAGE he devoted to one character laughing at another's name which happens to be my surname

I used to quite like Clive Barker when I was sixteen or so.
Very imaginative stuff. Leagues ahead of Stephen King. But his stuff from around Galilee onward hasn't been very good.

My dad had every Steven King book going before he died, I tried a few times to get into his stuff, but couldn't, but my reading age was a lot lower back when I tried.
I do like a bit of Dean Koontz though, even though I haven't read him for 6 years.

Have you read Arthur C Clarke's Rama books?
It reminds me of those. I liked those more (even though Clarke's characters are a bit on the wooden side)
