Whats one of those? When I was a kid I had a thing I put on the radiator that I filled with water, I can't remember the point of it.

It takes the moisture out of the air.
Very useful for damp rooms. Or cellars, in my case.

Then humidity isn't normally the problem.
Try UV lamps and probs an anti-fungal coating.
