I reckon Natwest got hacked this weekend.
If it was a hardware fault, redundancies would have shot in, and it would have been handled. If it was a software glitch, it would have happened by now - there is nothing special about this weekend that would cause a glitch.

Yeah', that too would explain it.
Sounds a bit stupid to logically do an upgrade on a weekend when call-out staff is at a minimum along with store closures not being able to handle any problems. Or then again, if they did it at midnight on a weekday, its not like store-staff can do anything about it.

I would have logiclly done it on a statisticly less likely payday day.
