I'm in a pub in York
The mrs has gone to look at handbags and left me watching the tennis. I've already identified all of Dozers favourite pubs though I've yet to actually go into one yet. They all look like decent boozers, so I'll state this on the record "Dozer has good taste in drinking establishments, even if his musical taste is questionable."

I've yet to see a really angry scottish man who wants to stab me, but there is still another day to go.

Can Andy really do it?

The way Federer is playing
Andy can win it.

that's what I reckon too.

What booze have you got
And is Dozer going to meet you for a pint?
(, Sun 8 Jul 2012, 16:08, Reply)
I'm drinking sixpence bitter, and he said he wouldn't meet me because he won't like me.
He also asserted that I wouldn't like him, but as you know Jeff, since I like you, being a twat is no barrier to being my friend.

There are many fine boozers in York
And Dozer sounds like he's from the West Country more than Scotland, so you may have encountered him without knowing it.

Sixpence Bitter
It's certainly cheap up north.
(, Sun 8 Jul 2012, 17:06, Reply)
actually, you can get a pint in York city centre for £1.60

(, Sun 8 Jul 2012, 17:30, Reply)
You'd be lucky to get a half for that down here.

(, Sun 8 Jul 2012, 17:47, Reply)
it's only in one pub. The Hansom Cab, and all sorts of lowlives drink in there.

If Han Solo drank in York
It sounds like it would be his sort of pub.
(, Sun 8 Jul 2012, 17:57, Reply)
I drank in there the last time I was in York.

Also, you could pay the.same.price
for.the same beer in London. Sam Smith's pubs have a national pricing policy.
(, Sun 8 Jul 2012, 18:51, Reply)
which pub are you in?
And if you spot it, the Lamb and Lion has one of the best beer gardens in town.
(, Sun 8 Jul 2012, 16:35, Reply)
I walked past that one this morning.
I'm not telling where I am, I don't like being stabbed.
(, Sun 8 Jul 2012, 16:47, Reply)
I'm safely ensconced at home in Holgate.
So where have you been? And where did you eat?
(, Sun 8 Jul 2012, 16:52, Reply)

it were girt lush. As it should be, it cost me £66 with drinks.

It was the Platonic Ideal of steak though.

Triple cooked chips and a 400g rib-eye with stilton hollandaise
followed by drunken sticky toffee pudding with clotted cream. And an apple brandy to settle the stomach after.
